چکیده
This paper presents the characteristics of heave motion responses and hydrodynamic forces a horizontal floating circular cylinder during wave–current interaction. A two-dimensional numerical model based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method for modeling wave flow is validated verified. The were calculated analyzed under conditions different k values (stiffness spring), amplitudes, submerged depths, rates. results show that, with increase in value, vibration amplitude first increases then decreases. peak achieved, frequency consistent frequency, resonant takes place. When rate are fixed, maximum decreases as period increases. half-submerged, effect current significant; less than amplitude. quarter submerged, larger that half-submerged at each k. greater amplitude, reaches minimum moderate

Experimental Study of the Performance of Floating Breakwaters with Heave Motion
Nowadays, the application of floating breakwaters in small or recreational harbors has found more popularity. These types of breakwaters are more flexible in terms of design, configuration and especially installation compared with fixed breakwaters. In the current study, the performance of floating breakwater (FBs) under regular waves was studied using the physical modeling method. For the mode...

A numerical solution for heave prediction is developed within the context theories for both saturated and unsaturated soil behaviors. Basically, lowering the potential level of compressing on a saturated layer will cause heaving due to water absorption. This water absorption is in an opposite way, similar to water dissipation as what happens during unloading in consolidation process. However, i...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of in-cylinder tumble flow field measurements and comparison to experimental results
This paper presents a comparison between measured and predicted results of the in-cylinder tumble flow and the flow coefficient generated by a port-valve-liner assembly on a steady-flow test bench. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods were employed to gain further insight into characteristics of an engine. The purpose was to advance understanding of the stationary turbulenc...
